Terms of Use

1. The service

Costlume is a web application for tracking recurring financial commitments across multiple "Spaces", with consolidated and per-Space dashboards, a payment calendar, renewal and cancellation deadlines, manually entered currency rates, a savings review, CSV/TSV import and CSV export.

The service is currently offered in a limited early-access phase. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. One account is for one person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and you must tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Your content and data

You keep all rights to the data you enter into Costlume. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process and display that data in order to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data you enter, including for having any necessary basis to enter another person’s personal data. Do not enter full payment card numbers or full bank account/IBAN numbers; the service is designed to reject them.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service in breach of any applicable law;
• access or attempt to access data that is not yours, or defeat or probe authentication, tenant isolation or rate limiting;
• scan, penetration-test or load-test the service without our prior written permission;
• resell, sublicense or provide the service to a third party as your own;
• upload malware or interfere with the integrity or performance of the service.

5. Third-party services

"Continue with Google" is provided through Google and is subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes they make.

6. Availability, changes and "as is"

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. During early access we give no uptime or support commitment.

We currently provide the service free of charge. If we introduce paid plans, we will give you advance notice and you will be able to choose whether to continue.

7. Limitation of liability

Costlume is a planning and record-keeping aid. It is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and you remain solely responsible for your own financial decisions and for paying, renewing or cancelling your own commitments.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Latvia or the European Union, including liability for intent or gross negligence and any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or where necessary to protect the service or other users.

On termination your right to use the service ends. Deletion of your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of the Republic of Latvia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the service, without prejudice to any mandatory right you may have as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your EU country of residence.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date changes with each revision, and we will notify signed-in users of material changes. If you continue to use the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
